Tale of the ears

My two youngest kids, at 5 and 9 years old, have never had an illness that required antibiotics.  That changed for us this week.  Ellie visited the doctor on Tuesday where he diagnosed an ear infection.  Matt required a trip to urgent care this weekend after a terrible night of pain and stinging in his ears and was found to have a pretty severe infection in both.

Upon hearing the news of her brother,  Ellie said she was sad that Matt had an ear infection like her.  She quickly followed that sweet sentiment with…

Yay!  Our ears are besties now!

May you learn from your littles with their joy for life this week.

May your glass always be half full.

May you see beyond the disappointments and weariness.

May your eyes always be open to the blessing of the ordinary.

And may ears always be allowed to be best friends.

  1. What a precious post! It immediately brought to mind: “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their work; If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls & has no one to help him up!” (Eccl. 4:9-10). I stopped by from Moms the Word 🙂
